You’ve waited long enough! The 2009 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winners for the American and National Leagues will be announced next week. The AL winners will be announced first on Tues. Nov. 10th at 3 p.m. est on ESPN News. The NL will follow on Wed. Nov. 11th (same time/channel).
The award was established in 1957 as the measure of fielding excellence. The winners are selected by Major League managers and coaches, not Rawlings, prior to the conclusion of the regular season. They may not vote for players on their team and can only vote for players in their league.
