Slammin’ 2010 Playoff Hockey Pool (Suicide)

Welcome to the Slammin’ 2010 Playoff Hockey Pool.

Results will be posted on:  http://slammin.ca/Hockey_Pool.php

Entry Deadline:  Wednesday April 14 Midnight.
Cost:  $30 per team

1st Prize:  45% of Proceeds plus prizes to be donated by our sponsors T.B.A.

2nd Prize:  15% of Proceeds plus prizes to be donated by our sponsors T.B.A.

45% of the proceeds will be used towards the Slammin’ +40 team attending the SPN Nationals in Calgary in 2010.

Payment Method:  EMT. For payment, please use the EMT.  If you really need another method, again, please email me at hockeypool@slammin.ca.  Here again are the instructions:

Locate Interac Email Money Transfer, usually found in the the Trasfer/Payments menu.
Then you enter the email address (hockeypool@slammin.ca) to where the receiver wants the money to go as well as the amount. It will then ask you for a question and answer. Question: slammin  Answer: hockey  Please specify your pool team name.

Upon receipt of your payment and entry form with your player picks of 20 players and 1 Goalie you will receive an email from http://www.pickuphockey.com with your login for the Slammin’ 2010 NHL Hockey Playoff Pool.  Standings and updates will be emailed weekly…you will receive a password where you can check your standings and stats daily.

The objective of Slammin’ Slo-Pitch Hockey Pool is to accumulate the most number of Pool Points based upon the contest Scoring System (see Scoring System below) and in accordance with these Official Rules. Part of the challenge is picking players that will go far in the playoffs.

Each team you select will consist of 21 players. 20 Skaters and One Goalie. No trades.  If your players team is eliminated, you keep the points.

Scoring System (Pool Points)

Player Scoring is as follows:

Regular Goal 2 pts, Assist 1pt, Shorthanded goal 10 pts, Shorthanded assit 5 pts, Powerplay goal 5 pts, Powerplay Assist 2 pts, Game winning goal 10pts, Game winning assist 5 pts, Overtime goal 20pts, Overtime assist 10pts

Goalie
Shutout 25 pts

Standings and Updates
Contest standings are updated daily on the web site. The web site will include player and entrant point totals. All statistics are updated daily, seven days a week.

IMPORTANT: standings are UNOFFICIAL for one week following the conclusion of the 2009-2010 regular season. In the event there is a discrepancy please notify hockeypool@slammin.ca within the one week Unofficial Standings Period, otherwise the standings will become final and official.

Winners and Prizes
The entrant with the most Pool Points accumulated during the 2010 playoff season will win the grand prize. The following is the official breakdown of prizes:

1st Prize:  45% of Proceeds  plus prizes to be donated by our sponsors T.B.A.
2nd Prize:  15% of Proceeds plus prizes to be donated by our sponsors T.B.A.

Ties
Slammin’ Slo-Pitch Hockey Pool is not a draft. Therefore, there is a possibility that two entrants may end up with the same player selections. In addition, two different rosters may add up to the same total points. In case of a tie the following rules will apply:

In the event of a tie, the poolie with the most players from the Stanley Cup winning team assumes the position.
If it is still tied, the pool team with the most goals will prevail.
In the event that the tied winners have chosen the same players, prizes will be divided between the tied entrants.

Terms and Conditions
Slammin’ Slo-Pitch Hockey Pool (the “Contest”) is an on-line game, designed to test one’s own prognostication skills when it comes to predicting the performance of various hockey players on various teams. From all eligible entries received, winners will be determined based on their ability to use their skill and knowledge of hockey teams, players and related rules to accumulate the most Pool Points in accordance with the Scoring System.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Both the first and last name of the entrant must be entered for the entry to be valid. In addition, government issued identification must be provided by the winner(s) and the name on the identification must match the name on the entry form. All entry forms become the property of Slammin’ Slo-Pitch. In any dispute, the decisions of Slammin’ Slo-Pitch will be final and binding on all parties. Slammin’ Slo-Pitch, HockeyDraft.ca, and the persons and companies affiliated with this contest, their employees, representatives or agents will not be responsible for human, computer or equipment error, or lost, late, or misdirected entry forms.

The potential prize winner will be posted on-line on the Monday following the final game of the 2010 playoff season. All potential prize winners are unofficial for a one week period after the final game. In the event there is a discrepancy please notify HockeyDraft.ca via the contact address listed on HockeyDraft.ca within the one week period, otherwise the standings and prize winners will be declared final and official. All taxes and any expenses not indicated herein are the sole responsibility of the winners. Entrants must notify Slammin’ Slo-Pitch of any address change. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable in any other service and must be accepted as awarded.
