League Champions in our first year playing Masters!!  We have already qualified for the '99 Slo-Pitch National Provincials in Niagara Falls in September and are looking forward to a great season.  Our thanks to Dave Mantell for all his help getting it off the ground, as well as Aaron from Ward & Patch, Dave Gardiner at Molson's and Joe Vanderhoeven at Rawlings Canada.  And many thanks to our watering hole, The Corporate Hound,  for their hospitality, support, and for putting up with us every Wednesday night.

In April of 1998 we played our first US tournament (ISA) in Auburndale, Florida (staying in St. Pete Beach). Although it was a challenge (with a 3-11' arc & base stealing), we really enjoyed ourselves.  The Fields at the Auburndale Softball Complex have Bermuda turf, large covered dugouts with water fountains and phones to the press box. All five fields are named after citrus, "Citrus" , "Navel ","Tangalo", "Temple", and Valencia Fields, have 305 ft. fences that are 8ft high  (with alligators in the moat outside the fence).  Needless to say we were in heaven (unless you had to get a home run ball).  Our thanks go out to Russell Burney, the convenor and Terry Descin, who helped put the US part of the team together.
